Ending off the crazy-busy year of 2013, and kicking off 2014 and the last semester of education, ever at Montigo Resorts! Possibly the nearest-most-beautiful place from Singapore, just a 45-min ferry ride from Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal.
Nothing beats beach cabana themed furniture & architecture at the main lobby. Awesome tiffany blue, light yellows, woods, and whites - too pretty!
Sneak peek of the villas from the main lobby.
Breathtaking view and design.
Played with darts for the first time in my life since we were the only ones there. Never tried it before because it's embarrassing to try in a public place. So we had the opportunity to be completely retarded and noob, throwing completely off the bullseye (Gotta understand dart physics first man!). It's really difficult, and I'm not embarrassed to say that most of my own shots landed on the wood partition. Haha!
I love these rusty lamps!
Poorly exposed shot due to darkening skies.
Why did A&W leave Singapore? I briefly remember stuffing my face with the most awesome curly fries and having root beer floats with my mum and sisters.
Had to take-away these from Nagoya and heat them up for dinner since there's basically nothing at the resort! (Room service's at SGD prices, not very value-for-money, but if you're willing to pay for food served up to your doorstep, then that's okay).
The supermarket at Nagoya is extremely affordable and most of the products are cheaper than Singapore. We bought quite a bit of basic necessities like soaps and creams, ahaha. Could. Not. Resist. Good. Bargains.
The great horizon and seaview is mostly perfect in the morning and at night (high tide). For the rest of the afternoon it's low-tide and all you see is, well, mud. Haha. Oh, and now they're building a jetty.
The sun setting at 6pm.
Breakfast was great. We had the luck of having buffet breakfast on a weekday.
Best fried rice and pastries and desserts!
JS enjoying his eggs (all types as you can see...), hahaha.
Ah, nautical design. Absolutely loved the feel of everything.
Here's some of the pictures taken at Montigo Resorts, Nongsa, Indonesia. A real way to relax. Quite honestly, when I was there, I didn't know how to relax. I'm always so used to tight schedules, doing stuff non-stop and being on-the-ball, it's hard for me to just sit still, soak myself soggy in the pool, watch TV, watch movies, play the Wii, and just totally LET GO of everything. (I was thinking "hey what's next" a lot, a #1 way to not-relax...)
Well, well, a 2014 resolution: Learn to relax (more).
A good start to 2014. Cheers to a happy, cheerful, warm, lovely, awesome, great year ahead!
Absolutely beautiful. I can imagine just going there for a week and doing nothing but enjoy ship-free horizones, easy conversations in spacious well designed rooms. Was it expensive?
ReplyDeleteHey there. It was decently affordable at SGD$200+ per pax (2 persons), inclusive of ferry ride from Singapore to Nongsa, Batam, Indonesia. Definitely will get cheaper for each person if you go with more people. One villa has 2 bedrooms (4 beds) with max occupancy of 5! :)
Deletehow did you find this deal?
