Trying Times, Accidental Friendships & the End of University!

Kicking off the start of the study break and the end of university classes (once and for all, hooyah)!

Here's the wacky bunch of friends I had the luxury to meet through a friend and friend of a friend of mine. :) It's a confusing web of friendships but a wonderful blessing. Basically the gist of the story is... I took a leap of faith (P.S. I felt it was necessary to make this sound extra dramatic, because it really was quite melodramatic, challenging and frustrating during the whole trying period of making The Decision) and changed course partway from Accountancy to Marketing.

So... I went into a 'new' course with no friends at all, and just 'started all over' making friends through a friend and so on. I am really thankful for Chris Chong, a friend from church, who roped me into his project group, and started me off with... well, some friends for at least one mod. Haha. Although at the beginning, you think it's like "aw man, I only have... er, four friends", but I was just really grateful, and still grateful. Thanks Chris Chong!

To cut the long story short, working with the warmest people on Earth (also known as Chong and his group mates haha) led me to meet PY, who introduced me to more people and so on. So here I am, with these bunch of people whom I have worked with for a couple of semesters, feeling decently pleased and accomplished that I made THAT one leap of faith at that turning point 1.5 years back. I'd never have met these hilarious people if not for that step!

It is possibly, one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life and I have never once regretted it. (One clarification I'd have to make is that I didn't originally want to pursue Accountancy - and I'm not the most talented in Math/Science/Econs, but due to some administrative issues at that point, I could not apply for Marketing - not results-related - and I'd leave it at that.)

Today (Saturday, 12th April 2014) marks our last lesson together in university, and we decided to go for lunch together, just to erm, commemorate it. Haha.

I told Tony (obviously guy on left) today that I had always thought he looked a little like Annoying Orange, and he was aghast... Haha.
Two pictures of Annoying Orange for good measure. Man, I'm laughing so hard as I browse and attach the Annoying Orange images. He's gonna hate me and it's gonna be #totallyworthit ahaha.

Possibly my fifth friend in my 'new course'!

I will never stop terrorising and teasing this girl. Never. Trust me, she has the most epic #fail comments at times, and is impossibly overconfident. Today we were both in rompers, and she said that even though we were in similar styles, she clearly looked better.

Hahaha. Moving on...

 My Business Ethics Debate Team!

Well, look, they stirred their latte art away.

Four yummy 'Big Ben's (English Breakfast, basically) and Tony enjoys 4 servings of salads 'cause he's a vegetable bin like that.

 This one's priceless.

A double scoop of Salted Caramel.

And... this ends off my awesome 'omg-graduation-is-coming-soon' lunch date with the gang.

Every day this last semester (when I started oversleeping repeatedly and suffering from unexplainable massive fatigue), I wake up especially appreciative and thankful for the people who (1) give me morning call(s) when there are morning lessons (2) spam me with WhatsApp messages and share silly jokes/SGAG/9GAG posts, always making the day a little lighter (3) help me print notes if I'm late for class (4) offer me candy/chocolate/snacks when I am quite obviously falling asleep in class - was I that obvious? The list goes on, but here are just some of the things for now.

So thank you Peiyi, Jieying, Tony, and the many other people I have worked with/met in my time in Uni! I feel really crazy, laughing to myself, laughing at my own jokes right now, and basically enjoying penning these few thoughts about my University life. It was not always fun and games, but at least it has ended on a pretty good note.

Now, just two more weeks to the end of it all. Let's go, G. O., go!

P.S. Come on, did anyone get my Channel 5 Police and Thief reference?
