Photos from the week: Eleanor's baby shower and the first-month cake, someone's guilty shopping loot (not mine), McDonalds' Taro Pie (which I just tried, and it's quite tasty, although the yam within was pretty thin and watery), Prawn Papardelle & Garlic Fries from The Fabulous Baker Boy, and this week's read - Haruki Murakami's Dance Dance Dance.
Today marks the last day of February. I finally managed to visit The Fabulous Baker Boy this week!
It's located opposite Liang Court, and is pretty easy to find if you know your way around that area. For myself, I don't think I'd be able to find my way there if I didn't make an attempt to remember how, haha, but no worries there's always Google Maps!
It's a really cosy place though I wouldn't really recommend it on a very hot day. I did have my lunch there on a scorching Tuesday in a blazer and denim jeans and we reached there sweating. Fortunately, the abundance of ceiling and oscillating fans outside did cool us down quickly, so it's not that bad. There are only 4 individual 'counter' seats in the airconditioned section, so 95% of the seating is al fresco and outside in a shaded porch area.
Great place for small gatherings or a date with a guy/girl you've known for a while, I wouldn't say it's a great place for a first date since no one likes to trek up some paths or get sweaty on a first date haha... Food's decent, and no service-charge charged is a bonus!
