So, my debut at the Hard Rock Cafe.
Firstly, my heart's full and welled up with gratefulness for the opportunity and the amount of faith in me by the guys of Suasion, for allowing me to feature in some songs of their set list after meeting me once (twice for the lead singer). It started off with a really spontaneous jam session with the very-talented lead singer, and one thing led to another, and here I went. Something sort of a live trial.
I love singing, but most specifically adding dimension, heart and groove through the use of harmonies. With the guys of Suasion, we got to experiment with three-part harmonies together, and it felt really, really good to team up and harmonise with another harmoniser and singer and hear it all blend and mash together.
I've been doing mostly acapella vocal arrangements for years, singing every improvised part from bass, alto, tenor, soprano, percussion (I still can't beatbox though haha) and layering my voice with three up to twelve tracks by myself. It's fun and sure makes me happy, but it gets boring and lonely too, haha. So... it's just awesome that I get to sing with like-minded others this time to create the same harmonious effect. Also, the different textures of each voice tone adds such a refreshing touch to the art I enjoy.
Well anyway, here are two videos of the night, courtesy of JS.

If you like what you're hearing, don't forget to give us a "thumbs up" there on the video!
The band's 'Suasion' with Michael (lead vocals, guitar), Chris (harmonies, guitar) and Alvin (cajón/drums).
Can't help but feel like good times, good times are here.
P.S. I'll be singing with two-thirds of Suasion again tonight (Wed, 26 Mar 2014) at the Hard Rock Cafe (Orchard) from 8pm.
