Valentine's Day 2014 Part II (14 Feb)

Found this Valentine's Day a little bit more meaningful than the previous ones. We decided to do things differently and more prudently this year and try newer ideas to commemorate the day rather than the most clichéd ways (i.e. paying a lot of money for not much fun). I must say I really enjoyed myself with this little set-up on the 14th of Feb!

I love spending time in my room, and never ever spend time in my home anywhere else. Even the kitchen doesn't attract me. Haha. So having my V.Day dinner at home, in my room? Sounds like the Best. Idea. Ever.

Candlelight dinner with air-conditioning, complete with great food, pretty cutlery (best christmas gift 2013!), place-mats, napkins, moscato and dessert? Check.

Prettiest, yummiest desserts ever.

The joke of the day is that I made dessert which flopped so terribly I had to dispose of it. My Oreo Panna Cotta turned out too hard, and lacked enough Oreo taste (I still blame the bad recipe), so basically it looked gross and tasted bad. Fortunately, JS planned for another dessert. I'm not sure if I should be offended he was prepared for the panna cotta to flop, hahaha, but okay, these cream cheese jelly cakes were awesome.

So, on to his hand-made card...

"Hand-made card". He takes DIY cards to a whole new level. Not at all an art student, his handicraft skills are level 1000 (of which I am level 10, sob) and they have levelled up again with this lock-diary sort of uh, contraption. Haha. You have no idea how stressed I get every time there's some day to commemorate. No idea at all...

Enough said. Contraption is an appropriate word!

There's that watch I've been wanting for a while. Really liked a similar watch of his with custom-changed burgundy leather straps some time back, so well, now he gets me a similar watch face with the same custom-changed burgundy leather straps *glee*.

Looking tired, but pleased.

Once again, thank you JS for a perfect Valentine's Day. This year marks a new milestone.
